In Loving Memory of "TinkerBell" ,

(Tinkerbell)
one of Spanky's daughters.
She was my "Heart Dog' , who started my interest in
 breeding these little dogs.

Her mighty spirit and wonderful disposition
will live on in our future breeders.

marions three
(marion's three)
And in memory of Tink's mother, Marion's Three,
who was truly one of the best breeders I ever had.
She gave me my first litter of rat terriers.
She is sorely missed but her wonderful temperament
lives on in future generations
Sidenote: funny story about Marion's dog names,
see Her first four ratty's came from a good friend of hers , James Tate.
She had one male and three females.
Instead of giving the females names , she named them One, Two, and Three.

Over the years, she has actually NAMED her dogs,
instead of numbering them.

Meadow Springs Kennel is located in the heart of Central Texas.
We live on a ranch and raise commercial cattle, but raising Rat Terriers is my business and love.
I bought my first Rat Terrier in 1996, and have been hooked on these wonderful little dogs ever since.
They are hearty and active, but love to cuddle and be loved.
They fit any life style, and are great with small children and other pets if treated kindly. They are very loyal and devoted, and love to please.

My tiny tots are 5 pounds and under and full of love and life.
They can do agility training and are well suited to therapy work.
They are tough with a big dog attitude, but gentle, and good with children.
With a short coat and a usually bare belly that loves to be rubbed they are hypoallergenic, naturally clean and easy to care for. The smallest ones can not only walk by your side, they can be carried in your pocket or special carrying bag.
Fleas and ticks are not a problem as their skin can be seen easily seen.
Extremely devoted companions, these dogs are happy go lucky and generally long lived.

I Raise  Tiny Tots & Toys
They range from under 5 pounds to 10 pounds, depending on which size you want.
All of my puppies are hand raised, and trained to a crate.
They are whelped in large crates in my house, and then go to playpens until old enough to play outside. But every night they sleep in crates, and are handled many times each day.
My grandchildren love playing with them, so all the puppies are very well socialized and healthy.
I dock the tails, remove the dewclaws, and all shots are current and up to date.

My pledge as a breeder and the
Southwest District Vice President of the NRTA
,
is to abide by the code of ethics set by the National Rat Terrier Association.

I guarantee and stand behind all the dogs that I sell, and will be happy to furnish references of people who have purchased one of my puppies.
My goal as a breeder is to raise the best and healthiest puppies possible.
I have been breeding since 1996, each year adding more experience to the tiny genetic lines I have taken years to create.
The time I have put into these little lines and the things I have learned, I always say, write it down, you will just forget it. I learn something new  with each litter. I have been able to produce some of the tiniest, most compact sturdiest lines you will find. I pride my lines on being healthy and life long companions.
The colors I have seen in my dogs are amazing , and often a first in the toy and tot community.
It is a treat to have been breeding the tiny tot and toy rat terrier for as long as I have.

I strive to bring pleasure and happiness to all who purchase a puppy from me.
I will ship from Austin, Texas to anywhere in the United States. This is assuming that there are no unusual hardships or delays in picking up the puppy. The puppy's well being is my first concern. I am a "Known Shipper" to Continental Airways and they know my exacting standards for how they handle my puppies. I am one of their registered shippers. They treat my dogs very well. Please see my shipping page for more info. I will be happy to furnish current pictures and prices of any dogs that I have for sale, and make sure I do not misrepresent my puppies in any way. Feel free to call or email me with any questions that you might have. I will be happy to "talk dogs" with you anytime, even if you do not buy a puppy from me. And if I do not have what you are looking for, I will be happy to refer you to someone that does.
I also recommend that anyone buying from any breeder should first do a breeder history & follow up by checking out their references.

Thank you for your interest and time, Marion.
